Becoming a Member at Hamilton Pistol Club

Visitor policy

You can come to the Club as a visitor up to three times, before deciding if you want to become a member.

2.

Membership Requirements

You must hold a current Firearms Licence (unless under 16), be proposed by a full member, and pay the required membership fees. Upon application, you'll be invited to an interview with the club committee, who will vote on your application the following month.

3.

Probationary Period

Once accepted by the Committee, you'll enter a minimum 6-month probationary period. During this time, you'll receive training and examination on safety and shooting techniques. Range staff will assess your progress and ensure you attain a satisfactory level of competence with club firearms.

4.

Full Membership

Upon satisfactorily completing your probationary period, the Committee may accept you as a full member. We look forward to welcoming you into our community at Hamilton Pistol Club.

BENEFITS OF MEMBERSHIP

  • The club is open for shooting between 9.00 am and 9.00 pm 363 days a year.

  • Ranges are available for practice, rifle sight-in, load development and shotgun patterning.

  • We hold 5 club shoots every month, and regularly host regional, national and international matches.

  • Wednesday is club night, join us for practice and then a BBQ afterwards.
